The Acoustic Collective

The Acoustic Collective

Once Upon A Time…Field & James were a duo writing originals and entertaining around the area.  They had an Electric Band with bass and drums and played country music at the local fish fries and pubs.  It was fun.

Meanwhile, in a church nearby…Tennessee Delores and Indiana Bill were singing harmonies and arranging contemporary sacred music.  Then, one Sunday the four met to discover that singing harmony is a blast!  Bill and James could work the guitars to free James for some groovin’ solos.  Delores and Field divided up parts with the guys and they set to work arranging their favorite songs.  As they started playing around town, their setlist grew from seven songs to over thirty.

The “Acoustic Collective” collaborates to create their spin on classic songs from the 60’s and 70’s.  These harmony rich songs send a feel-good vibe in songs by Simon & Garfunkel, America, The Mamas & The Papas, Buffalo Springfield, CS&N, Alison Krauss, the Dixie Chicks and more.  Come on out and sing along!
